We are glad to announce that we have been able to further extend our commercial product line-up and henceforth offer our clients silicate powder as a concrete additive, which we distribute as sole distributor from the Łaziska smeltery.

Silicium powder is a mineral additive resulting from the production process of ferrosilicium. It enhances the properties of concrete by filling the gaps between cement and aggregates. Concrete with added microsilica is an ideal building material for the construction of such demanding projects as underground carparks, tunnels, sewer systems, swimming pools and port basins or harbour docks.

Microsilica have the following qualities:

- Improvement of material compression strenght

- Amelioration of level of fire resistance

- 10%-reduction of cement use

- Improved endurance

- Protection against corrosion

- Reduced hygroscopicity by 50 %

- Enhanced resistance of concrete to sulfate attack

- Improved durability in salt water and acidic environments

Other than for concrete, microsilica are being used for the following purposes:

- Cement production

- Dry mortar

- Fibre cement

- Ceramic

- Insulating and protective material for metallurgical installations

- Rubber products

- Industrial chemicals

The microsilica we distribute comply with the PN-EN 13263:2006 norm.
